Our Process
Botany Farms specializes in the cultivation of craft cannabis flower that lies under the 0.3% THC level. We are cannabis lovers unreservedly, and our extensive experience in the medical and recreational cannabis industry has allowed for us to grow some of the finest CBD flower in the country. All of our flower is grown organically in both indoor and outdoor grows in Southern Oregon and Illinois, and we are currently undergoing the process to become certified USDA organic.
Location and climate dictate everything. Each Spring, our farms begin to prepare for a viable grow season as the Spring rains shift into the sun-filled Summer Southern Oregon is known for. All the seed is laid in late May and each flower strain takes between 9-12 weeks to mature depending on the genetics. During the various grow cycles, our farmers vow to never use harmful pesticides or fungicides in their gardens. Upon being harvested, our plants are hang dried and slow-cured in temperature-controlled facilities for no less than 10 days. This natural process creates an enriched cannabinoid and terpene profile; it tastes good, draws smooth, and elevates both body and mind.
Once the plants finish drying, they are moved to our processing center where our personnel meticulously trims each pound by hand to ensure boutique-ready buds. The trimmed buds are then placed into small batch curing containers for an extra 21 days undergoing a proprietary cure method before our flower is packaged for retail. This final cure allows for a robust terpene content, furthering the effects of the cannabinoids present in our flower and granting it the true title of ‘Craft Cannabis’.
In the 2019 season, we grew 5 high-CBD strains that contain between 14-21% CBD, and one CBG strain that tests at nearly 19% CBG. This season, we plan to double our number of strains and focus further on developing flower that will produce an unparalleled smoke experience. Our craft cannabis products are meant to be savored by those who want all the benefits of the cannabis plant, while remaining clear-headed and present. We hope you appreciate our craft flower as much as we do. Although it takes more effort to do things the right way, we do it because anything less is just not worth smoking.
