For those facing criminal charges, it is important to note a few important changes and procedures that are currently modified due to the coronavirus. San Diego criminal courts will be closed March 17 through at least April 3. Those with court dates scheduled during that time will have their court dates pushed out at least 30 days, and should (key word) be notified of their new court date in the following weeks by the court. All of the Firm’s clients have been updated on the court closures and estimated timeline moving forward and will continued to be as the situation continues to unfold.
David P. Shapiro and his team will be doing everything they can to keep “business as usual,” despite much of the team working remotely. The Firm is equipped to worked remotely for weeks at a time and has been successful in undertaking measures communicate with its clients through phone, email, and video conferences. Upon formal reopening, the Firm will continue taking extra precautionary measures in the office by sanitizing the area and all common touchpoints hourly.
