Sword and Silk’, a Feminist Publishing Company, Celebrating Women of All Walks Of Life expands their reach with a Kickstarter campaign
April 3, 2020 – Sword and Silk Books is a brand new publishing company devoted to celebrating, inspiring, educating, and empowering women of all walks of life
With the book publishing sector becoming more competitive, Sword and Silk seeks to be a place of support, learning, and growth. The company works with authors every step of the way on their literary journey, helping to bring out the most from their work. From an idea and rough draft, to editing and publication, Sword and Silk helps authors produce high quality, interesting and entertaining books.
Sword and Silk believes that every author has a story to tell and that every story deserves to be told. That is why the company organizes workshops and classes to help authors further their careers. These include annual writing retreats to promote community and wellbeing, fair royalty rates with incentives to returning authors, a team of professionals who render support from acquisition to post-publication, and wide marketing campaigns to get the books seen by the people that want to read them.
Using their Kickstarter to expand their reach, Sword and Silk also has some interesting packages available as rewards to their backers, which include, but are not limited to: Advanced Review Book Boxes; a podcast about publishing, writing, and reading; and an annual magazine of short fiction and poetry – designed to come in handy when the reader doesn’t have the time for an entire novel.
The company will be opening for submissions on April 16th, 2020 and has submission guidelines available on their website.
