Pakistan Food Relief Effort $17 Buys A Family Food For A Week Sly Dog Production
A Pakistan food relief effort is underway sponsored by Sly Dog Production a Montana video production company and Kaya Systems of Lahore, Pakistan.
$17 FEEDS A FAMILY FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK
“This is one of the most rewarding things I have ever been part of”, says Rusty Squire, President of Sly Dog Production, a video production company located in Bozeman, Montana. He adds, “Farrukh Naseem owns a web development company called Kaya Systems in Lahore, Pakistan and he reached out to me last week and already we are delivery food to needy families”.
“Every dollar is going into food for families and every donor will receive pictures of families receiving their food, it doesn’t get any more pure than this and there is no administrative overhead”, says Squire. He adds, “No matter how bad we think we have it here in the US there are people around the world that have it a lot worse”.
“So many people in the US have the ability to work virtually, this is not the case in a country like Pakistan”, says Squire. He adds, “Many of these families don’t eat tomorrow if they didn’t work today”.
EVERY DONOR RECEIVES PHOTOS OF THE ACTUAL FOOD DONATION
“Every single donor will receive photos of families receiving their food and food being distributed”, says Squire. He adds, “This is as real, as efficient and as pure as any relief donations you will ever take part in because there is no entity with overhead, it is pure humanitarianism at its finest and that is the reason I gave money and time to it”.
“I have know Farrukh Naseem from Kaya Systems in Lahore, Pakistan for over 7 years and he is an honorable man who is good to his word”, says Squire. He adds, “We received photos and video this morning from him for every single donor we had last week and we distributed a weeks worth of food to over 200 families”.
“Both Farrukh and I look at it this way, if we can’t work at what we do and people are hurting then there is good to be done in the world, so let’s do it”, says Squire. He adds, “Farrukh’s company does web development and my company does video production, so the combination is a good fit to mount a relief effort”.
“Our Pakistan food relief effort was literally an idea born just a week ago and already we have fed over 200 families for a week”, says Squire. He adds, “I am very proud of this but I know we can do even more next week and the week after”.
“We just need people to share our story and our content with their friend’s because then it becomes a giant network invested in the project”, says Squire. He adds, “American’s are hurting right now but many people can easily afford to donate just $17 and that will feed an entire Pakistani family for a week”.
