“From May 29 to June 1, 2020, Feed the World will sponsor a continuous Livestream to the benefit of food banks around the world supporting those impacted by COVID-19. Thus far, over 50 Twitch Streamers have committed their support to the event and Feed the World mission and are expected to stream hits like Elder Scrolls Online and other titles during the event.”

23 April, 2020 Feed the World, a project started by a community of charitable Twitch Streamers, is using its platform to support communities impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Feed the World is proud to be organizing a charity livestream event to donate to food banks in communities working on the frontlines. From May 29 to June 1, 2020, Friday morning to Monday evening EST, Feed the World will sponsor a continuous livestream and organize Twitter Streamers from around the world.

The Feed the World community has emerged as an essential partner for areas most ravaged by the coronavirus. Committed to feeding those hardest hits by the pandemic, Feed the World is currently welcoming new Twitch Streamers from around the world to participate in this exciting charity campaign. Proceeds raised during the livestream event will go directly to assist those who have been laid off from their jobs and do not have the money they need to put food on their tables and feed their families.

From May 29 to June 1, 2020, Feed the World hopes to organize the full Twitch community for this massive charity event and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to wreak havoc on our world, and get food to tables and feed families most impacted.

From now until May 29, Feed the World is looking to connect with Twitch Streamers, national food banks, or companies interested in supporting its efforts. Interested volunteers may connect with Feed the World via its public Discord server, and others are encouraged to spread the word about this important event online and under the Twitter hashtag #FeedWorld. Streamers and companies of all sizes are equally encouraged to participate.

Thus far, over 50 Twitch Streamers from around the world have committed their support to the event and Feed the World mission, including those expected to stream hits like Elder Scrolls Online and other titles during the event. However, additional support is needed, and many more can commit to participating, so the event has the most significant impact on global food banks struggling to support communities impacted by COVID-19.

“We are excited to be spearheading this event for food banks around the world,” remarked Brittany Wagner, a Feed the World organizer. “Each day, more and more people struggle with access to food for themselves and their families. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all, and we are all looking forward to giving back with our charity livestream event from May 29 to June 1, 2020. We really hope to see you involved.”
