Miss Fashion Week, a women empowerment platform that focuses on #3 and #5 of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals – Good health and Well-being and Gender Equality, announces today the addition of Marisa Peer to the Advisory Board.

Marisa is listed in the Tatler guide to Britain’s 250 Best Doctors – this guide lists the experts and pioneers in their field. She has been described as a “great British pioneer” by Men’s Health magazine, and she is the only woman featured in an article on The Best of British.

In 2015 Marisa created a brand-new therapy method known as RTT. RTT has been taking the world by storm ever since, she has been training people in this method all over the world and it is being critically acclaimed as the new go to therapy. In 2018 Marisa Peer and her RTT method won 8 Stevie Awards, A Venus Award, IDGT.

There are few speakers today that have the wide experience and stellar reputation of Marisa Peer. Marisa has spent nearly three decades treating a client list that includes international superstars, CEOs, Royalty, and Olympic athletes. Her engaging and amusing talks are peppered with anecdotes from an unparalleled career in which she has helped thousands of people to overcome profound personal issues.

A best-selling author of five books, Marisa’s USP is that she teaches “simple steps that produce dramatic and life-changing results”. As a speaker she seamlessly brings her one-of-a-kind therapy techniques to the room, leaving her audiences both transfixed and transformed. Her acclaimed “I Am Enough” program focuses on the thought patterns and mental habits that can be detrimental or beneficial to our success, depending on how we use them.

When she reveals her fundamental rule – that all our emotional and personal problems come from us believing that we’re not ‘enough’ – and explains how to overcome it, the results are tremendous and dramatic.

Training early in her career as a child psychologist, Marisa later earned further qualifications from the Hypnosis Training Institute of Los Angeles and the Pritikin Longevity Centre.

“Miss Fashion Week is in the heart of fashion and beauty redefining beauty. We want to use fashion as our media and runway as our platform to build character and to raise generations of strong daughters. We are the very first global organization that truly embraces diversity,” explains Founder Yinghua Vera Wang. “We have different categories including junior, teen, petite, curvy and runway. We want to send out a message to the public all body types are beautiful. We are all imperfectly perfect. We want to free women from the body image bondage and the societal limits bestowed on women.”

At least every 62 minutes someone dies as a direct result from suffering from an eating disorder. (Eating Disorders Coalition)
More than 80% of women are not happy with their body image.
Traditional media, social media, fashion and beauty industries impose unrealistic body image on women.
Body image challenges damage women’s self-esteem and divert women from focusing on building skillsets.

“We can’t ignore these numbers. We want to empower women of all ages to embrace themselves for who they are, which in turn helps them boost their self-confidence and self-esteem. I personally suffered for years and still a work-in-progress. We are passionate about our mission and so are our contestants and members. The organization is growing tremendously, adding 24 global partners in the past years and with over half a million followings on social media platforms.”
