Toronto’s RSD Bikes is on the hunt for cycling enthusiasts and influencers to become brand ambassadors on social media.

The mountain bike manufacturing company is looking to take its business to the next level by signing up brand ambassadors who can help them spread the word and the love of their products and services.

Applicants must have more than 1,000 followers on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube and be regularly active and engaging with followers on these platforms.

A spokesman from RSD said they wanted their ambassadors based in Canada and the US to produce regular content featuring the RSD hardtail, fat bike or full suspension trail bike, including videos and relevant hashtags. In return, all ambassadors will get a discount on an RSD frame or bike, as well as t-shits, ball caps, stickers and potentially some compensation, depending on how strong the application is.

He said: “We would love some top influencer in the mountain biking world to work with us and take their love of the sport to the next level.

“We are looking for people who will represent our brand, not just on social media, but in everything they do on and off their bikes. We want our ambassadors to respect our values, be respectful, polite and helpful to other people on social media, the media and other mountain bikers.

The company, which has been building bikes since 2012, also wants to talk to racers and off-road associations about collaborations.

The spokesman added: “The more the people we work with are involved with their local mountain bike communities the better. We live and breathe amazing mountain bikes and trails. Our workshop might have started in 2012, but our love for the sport stretches back 25 years and we want to forge strong relationships with people who are as passionate as we are.”

In just a few short years, the company has taken a hobby and a passion into a successful business venture. In 2015 they took they flagship frame and partnered with a leading Taiwanese bike frame manufacturer to transform the aluminum Mayor to include custom hydroform tubing and yoke. They also took their Sergeant plus-bike to the next level by introducing the same top-quality features.

At roughly the same time, the company moved its titanium frame production to the same supplier – a renowned handmade frame manufacturer in the cycling world. With everything under one roof it has allowed RSD to source the very best components and allow quality control at every stage and to the highest standards.
