East County Transitional Living Center plans Thanksgiving for residents and community members in El Cajon

September 18, 2020 – East County Transitional Living Center is excited to be hosting a safe Thanksgiving celebration for ECTLC residents, their families, and the community. As Thanksgiving approaches, the transitional living center recognizes that many people need a place to celebrate, and ECTLC is happy to provide a welcoming environment for everyone to celebrate together. In order to host the Thanksgiving feast, ECTLC is holding a food drive for people in the community to donate to the spread.

For the event, East County Transitional Living Center is requesting food donations of turkey, ham, and various other foods to use for the Thanksgiving meal. The food will serve populations in need or without a place to celebrate. All food donations can be dropped off at ECTLC, 1527 E. Main Street, El Cajon.

Beyond helping the community give thanks together, ECTLC is dedicated to reducing the homeless population in California and takes in individuals or families in need to help them gain the skills and resources they need to acquire shelter and employment. In the words of Helen Zamora, Director of Development at ECTLC, “It is a place that offers help, hope, and direction to those willing to listen. We are a Christ-loving group of individuals that truly are working to show God’s love to everyone.”
