“Princess Pinecone and the Wee Royals” is a bedtime story book that uses hand-stitched text and illustrations to teach kids the essence of being good humans.

February 01, 2021 – A new, unique, hand-embroidered children’s bedtime story book is fast becoming a favorite of parents and little ones. Titled “Princess Pinecone and the Wee Royals,” the book shares a tale of courage, forgiveness and redemption and aims to inspire children to be brave and kind. Written by American author CC Bernstein and stitched by Turkish Instagram embroiderer Irem Yazici, the book is bustling with a stellar 5 star rating and rave reviews on Amazon.

Princess Pinecone and the Wee Royals officially launched on January 21, 2021. Already added to Amazon US, UK, Canada, Dubai, India, Singapore, Japan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and more, the book is also available on christinabernstein.com, Barnes & Noble, Waterstones and will soon be available at select female-owned and operated shops such as Land of Bebe and RAC.

A major factor that separates and elevates this new bedtime story book is its hand-embroidered illustrations and text, which were crafted by Instagram celebrity stitch artist Irem Yazici. In the words of its publisher, Teton Mountain Publishing, this book is a high-res facsimile of a completely hand-embroidered children’s book – the ONLY one of its kind.

“It’s an exciting moment as this project has taken years to complete. We could have finished it sooner, but not to the standards both Irem and I fought for. I’m overwhelmed with the response I’ve received from parents and kids and am just so so grateful. I’m working on my first novel right now and the reaction to this book is just what I needed to spur me on,” stated Bernstein.

“I am also endlessly grateful to my talented friend Irem Yazici. Her vision and work ethic made this book what it is today. The original hand embroidered panels, both illustrations and text, took her more than 1400 painstaking hours to complete!”

The author stressed that the book is particularly dear to her heart as her mother invented Princess Pinecone

“This book is dedicated to my mom. She used to tell me stories before bed about the Princess’s gossamer silk dress collection and tiny pinecone home. I don’t remember there ever being much plot but I remember the soothing tone of her voice and I remember feeling loved. As cheesy as it sounds, I think feeling loved is the precursor to all goodness and so I wanted to write a story with a bit more plot and morals stitched in – literally and figuratively – that all parents and caregivers could read aloud to their kids at bedtime.”

A good Samaritan, the author believes in giving back in as many ways as she can. In that light, 10% of all sales derived from the book across all platforms will be donated to GIY – a social enterprise business focused on sustainable agriculture. Amongst other initiatives, they encourage and enable both children and adults to grow some of their own food. As it says on their website, “GIY-ers are like white blood cells on a broken food system, a positive, disruptive force for change.”
