Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is widely considered the world’s most effective martial art. Since its introduction to the rest of the world, the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) has never been more popular.

Gracie Barra is the largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) team franchise with over 800 locations on six continents, and one of the most trusted names in martial arts. Its values, commitment to excellence, and dedication to Jiu-Jitsu have set the brand apart and Gracie Barra Orlando has emerged as one of the most trusted names in the Central Florida BJJ community. GBO was founded by Master Marcio Simas in 1994 and was one of the very first BJJ schools to open in Central Florida. Twenty-seven years later, GBO continues to provide the highest quality of BJJ training using a proven curriculum specifically crafted to men, women, and kids of all levels starting as young as 4 years old.

At the beginning of 2020, under new ownership, GBO built a brand new state-of-the-art training facility and moved right into the heart of Orlando. With over 2400 sq feet of elevated mat space, the new training area allows for multiple classes to accommodate the growing number of students eager to learn and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The GBO team creates an environment that is fun, educational, and safe for the entire family. If participating in competitions is what you are looking for, Gracie Barra Orlando is very well known in the circuit and its competition team has earned numerous gold medals in the most prestigious tournaments all around the country.

With over 250 members, Gracie Barra Orlando boasts a diverse and inclusive student body that truly lives up to the company motto; Jiujitsu For Everyone. “We are more than a gym, it’s like training with family,” says Roger Bozarth, a long-time GB student, and black belt.

The students, from all different backgrounds, come train for a variety of reasons. Some come to learn self-defense, to be part of a team, or just to relieve stress. “The best part of training at Gracie Barra is I get at least one hour to myself. I get to separate the world and just focus on me” says Arlys Lopez, GB blue belt student.

The new training center is located at 4470 35th Street, Suite B. Orlando, FL 32811. For more information on Gracie Barra Orlando, visit www.gborlando.com or call 407-868-0092.
