The celebration will occur at Heroes Ranch, at 3812 N FM 14 in Quitman, TX, on Saturday, July 31, on the future site of this sprawling, 6-bedroom 7-bathroom lodge. The gates open at 11:00 am, with the ceremony to commence promptly at 1:00 pm.

Heroes Ranch, North Texas’ newest adaptive trophy hunting and sport fishing ranch, will host a groundbreaking celebration for their soon-to-be-built accessible 6,500 SQ.FT. under roof, family-friendly “Heroes Hunting Lodge” and “Patriot Pavilion” events center.  The celebration will occur at Heroes Ranch, located at 3812 N FM 14 in Quitman, TX, on Saturday, July 31, and be held on the future site of this sprawling, 6-bedroom 7-bathroom lodge. The gates open at 11:00 am, with the ceremony to commence promptly at 1:00 pm.

This event is an invitation-only open house featuring guided tours of the ranch, an adaptive hunting and fishing equipment showcase, and a catered BBQ lunch. The recently installed 150-foot flagpole will support the raising of a giant American flag at 1:00 pm to open the ceremony. Before and after the ceremony, guests may explore the ranch and check out the adaptive equipment, including wheelchair-friendly side-by-side all-terrain vehicles and fishing boats, the latest design in accessible hunting blinds, and track chairs.

The heavily covered former pine tree farm that Heroes Ranch calls home was largely undeveloped before December of 2019. In nearly 16 months, it has been transformed into one of the country’s premier high fence hunting sites, catering to Heroes with special needs. These Heroes and their families can now hunt trophy game, including Axis and Fallow Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, and a growing herd of superior genetic Whitetail Deer. Heroes and their families can also duck and pig hunt or sport fish in our catch and release lake and ponds. Construction is expected to be completed in 2022, and the ranch will then begin hosting guests 50 weeks a year.

“Heroes Ranch is a recreational retreat providing Outdoor Accessible Family Adventures and Fellowship for injured, ailing, wounded, or disabled Heroes. We proudly welcome Heroes and their families including; Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, First Responders, Gold Star Families, and Special Needs Families,” said Freeman Sawyer, a self-described Patriot and Lover of America. “We are going to give these people a place to form a new circle of friendships and heal while enjoying one of the best weeks of their lives.”

“We can’t wait to open the gates to our Heroes, their families, and personal friends of the Ranch,” said Susan Sawyer, Co-Founder of Heroes Ranch and the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Helping Heroes Hunt. “Our goal is to serve those who have served for us, and with the completion of the Hunting Lodge and Pavilion, we will be hosting families every week, forging friendships, and enjoying fellowship. We take great pride in hosting these Heroes and their families for a unique opportunity to enjoy nature and the outdoors with a sense of freedom and peace they may not have experienced before.”
