The WAVE International unveils women’s only treatment center in Florida seeking to fill the gap in mental health care through elite patient care and a holistic approach.
In a bid to fill a global gap in access to critical mental health services in the country, proven industry leader The WAVE International has unveiled its brand-new facility in Brooksville, Florida.
The Wave of Brooksville, a new women’s only treatment center, opened on May 24, 2021, aims to provide world-class clinical care for women, supplemented with personalized client services.
The facility serves as a safe space not only for women living in Florida but from all over the world. It is a premier licensed facility and has earned the Joint Commission accreditation, which demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement in patient care.
“Treating only women allows us to structure the treatment to be gender-specific. This gives us a specialized approach that a mixed facility would not allow. Also, from our experience, women are much more comfortable discussing delicate matters with other women,” Chris Fox, the CEO of The WAVE International, said as he explained the need for women to have a place of their own.

The Wave of Brooksville seeks to provide individualized and customized residential, day and evening outpatient treatment programs for women suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, emotional and physical abuse, grief, trauma, and many other mental and behavioral health challenges.
Chris Fox said the facility focuses on evidence-based treatment modalities to help uncover all the underlying issues driving unwanted behaviors.
The unveiling of the company’s newest safe space for women, Fox explained, is part of the company’s efforts to provide elite patient care. It utilizes a holistic mental health approach that considers all aspects of an individual, considering diagnosis and symptoms of her mental health condition.

The Wave of Brooksville is an elite, private, women’s only treatment center that provides a space where women can choose to either stay through all levels of treatment or have the choice of a customizable treatment program based on their individual needs.
The Wave of Brooksville had a successful Open House for the opening of the treatment center.
“When speaking to the women working in the facility, they cannot think of any reason why a women-only facility would not be the number one choice for a woman in need of treatment. They tell me, ‘I would be looking for a place I could relax and be myself. And not have to wear the mask I wear out in regular society,” Chris Fox explained.
He said the treatment and program options are uniquely customized to every individual to ensure that every woman’s treatment goals are achievable.
