GrassTB, Producers of Grass-based Paper Products, Raises $70k+ Through Investment Crowdfunding Campaign
La Salle, CO. – February 28, 2022 – GrassTB, creators of a proprietary process for producing grass pulp for creating tree-free paper products, has raised more than $73,000 through an investment crowdfunding campaign on the Wefunder platform. Crowdfunding regulations enable investors at any level to back this company, with minimum investments starting at just $100.
Funding raised through Wefunder will enable GrassTB to continue expanding their revolutionary solution to climate change, deforestation, and the plastic waste crisis: tree-free paper, made possible through their proprietary process for turning common grass clippings into paper products.
“We truly are redefining what ‘paper’ means,” said GrassTB Founder and CEO Bao Ho. “Most people think about trees when they think about paper, but GrassTB’s products are made from 100% grass pulp, so no trees need to be cut down to produce them. Our approach saves trees, resources, money and time — and the funds we’re raising through Wefunder are helping us expand our services, ultimately saving more trees.”
The proprietary process of producing grass pulp goes beyond just saving trees, as it also requires significantly less water, CO2, electricity, and oil. This is because growing grass does not require a significant amount of electrical energy or use of chemicals that result in extreme pollution wastes. Also, because grass is an abundant material that is readily available in nearly all communities (we’ve all seen the green waste bins around our neighborhoods), collecting and transporting the raw materials for producing grass pulp is a short and resource-light process.
“Because our proprietary grass fiber is flexible, it can be made into a wide range of paper products,” said Ho. “Though we’re only producing napkins and paper bags now, our proprietary grass pulp can be used to produce myriad paper and plastic products, like coffee cup sleeves, greeting cards, single-use utensils, wrapping paper, golf tees and even cardboard.
