Shawn Fair Chooses Dr. Barbara Swinney to Speak on The Leadership Experience Tour
Life and Holistic Leadership Expert, Dr. Barbara Swinney, has been chosen by Shawn Fair to speak on his Leadership Experience Tour. Leaning on over 25 years of experience as a leader and using a holistic approach to coaching and training, Dr. Swinney is helping women lead for the results they want in both their personal and professional lives.
Her debut book, It’s Always DEEPER: Six Steps to Achieving Perpetual Success, is a laudably moving, intelligent, and honest narrative of life lessons learned from the inside out; written to inspire women in leadership to live their best lives. In 2018, little did she know, the book would become a catalyst for the launch of DEEPER Brands and one of the fastest growing women’s empowerment organizations, DEEPER Women Lead Global; a platform established for women in leadership to share their stories and strategies for life, love, and leadership.
In 2022, Dr. SwInney welcomed women from all over the world to DEEPER Women Lead Atlanta, an annual, one-day empowerment event aimed at helping women start their DEEPER Life Journeys and become dynamic speakers, teachers, and leaders in their own lives as well as in the workplace. Over a five year period, Dr. Swinney locked arms with other powerful women in leadership to publish the literary collaborative, DEEPER Women Teach: Stories and Strategies for Life, Love, and Leadership from Women WHO Lead; the 2021 anthology project.
On top of all of that, Dr. Swinney also founded The DEEPER Leader Institute for Personal and Professional Development, an accredited coaching certification institute; helping leaders become more effective leaders in their organizations and in their own lives. Additionally, Dr. Swinney is helping women shift the trajectory by helping them to launch their own coaching and training businesses.
Dr. Swinney became an author, speaker, and a coach as she faced a tumultuous period in her life, a time when she had nobody around to offer her help through the healing and leading process. This dark period of her life pushed her to become a coach so that women like her would no longer need to suffer alone. Dr. Swinney is vigilant about helping women transition through life-changing events while managing the demands of their roles as leaders. Her coaching, training, and coaching certification programs are established on the cornerstones of identity, purpose, and vision for effective leadership. This involves leading from the authentic self in order to inspire, motivate, grow, and develop other leaders.
“Who you are as a leader and how you show up every day matters. The most effective leaders effectively lead themselves first. You cannot effectively lead others until you’re able to lead yourself; you can’t lead yourself until you know yourself, and you won’t fully know yourself until you can BE yourself. Thus, in order to become a more effective leader, you must become more of who you truly are,” she said.
